Katherine is a Psychologist who works with adolescents, young people and adults, with experience in community mental health, hospital and private settings. She provides a tailored treatment plan for each of her clients, using evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural techniques, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, EMDR, Solutions-Focused Therapy, and principles for trauma-informed care. She also stays across the latest research in her field to provide her clients with the best possible care.

 

Katherine has experience treating a wide variety of difficulties, including perinatal depression and anxiety, mood disorders (depression, anxiety), trauma, grief and loss, adjustment disorders, lifestyle changes, low self-esteem, stress and relationship issues. As a WorkCover NSW authorised practitioner, she also focuses on assisting people who have sustained a psychological injury in the workplace.

 

Katherine has a special interest in attachment theory and is experienced in assisting families through the transition to parenthood. After completing additional training in practice under local experts in attachment, she is an authorised facilitator of the “Circle of Security” early intervention program for parents and children.

Katherine thoroughly enjoys working with a broad range of clients, and recently completed a one year practice at headspace, the national youth mental health service.

 

Katherine has a warm and nurturing style and a genuine interest in journeying with her clients through the difficult times in their lives.
